Since October 2010 Dirk Steffen is Deputy Managing Director of TNS Infratest and is heading up the Media and Digital Sub-Sector. In addition he serves as Global Product Manager for TNS’ Digital Behave solution, combining passive online behaviour measurements with active survey capabilities. Dirk joined TNS in July 2008 as Director of the “New Interactive Centre” (NICe) to develop the digital market research business in Germany.
Before joining TNS, Dirk held positions as Product Marketing Manager and Sales Director for Gartner and META Group, both being global market research & consulting companies in information and communication technology research. Prior to that he held functions as Divisional Director of Informix, an global database vendor, and as Chairman of the Project Management Board and Member of the Global Steering Committee for a research & development project on artificial intelligence and data fusion with Siemens Defence Electronics.
Dirk Steffen has more than 20 years experience in the industry. He holds a master’s degree in communication engineering from the University of the Armed Forces, Munich, Germany and has studied at the Henley Management College for a Master of Business Administration.
