Gautam D. Goradia, Managing Director of Remittag Software Company (P) Ltd, is, like Don Quixote, a man with a dream. Fortunately, the resemblance ends here. Unlike Cervantes’ impractical and idealistic hero who would "dream the impossible dream" and was always tilting at windmills, Gautam’s quest is very real and worthwhile. He is working towards bringing e-Learning solutions to every individual who uses a computer, in the form of simple, cost-effective, and easy-to-use software products which will help users to build their OWN databanks of information on a variety of subjects for life long use. This suite of products aims to free the individual user from e-Learning solutions that, till date, are provided only by the infrastructure of an organization, school, college, or university.

Gautam’s endeavour arose from the void he and his family experienced (especially his wife Ami, a quizmaster, who constantly needed new questions for her quizzes) while creating, storing, and organizing information, whether the same was ‘General Knowledge’ in nature, or was curriculum based (for their children). Since information is very dynamic, and is constantly changing, they felt that there was a need to have such tools that would let them remain in command of the content that was relevant to them, and which could be modified, enhanced, and shared with others ‑ in short be of use to a user for a lifetime and beyond! What began as a need for a small Question Answer bank product, has now resulted in a suite of products that lets users build their own Encyclopedia, Dictionary-cum-Thesaurus, Bank of Literature, and a bank to store Facts and Feats, Sayings and Quotes.

Gautam has the unique ability to roll up his sleeves, so to speak, and sit down with his people, be they software programmers, visualizers or linguists, guiding, nurturing and inspiring them to forge unique top-notch software products that will assist users in self-learning, as well as to teach others.

With a background in commerce and law, Gautam is keenly interested in languages, photography, and personal fitness. Suave, unfailingly courteous and impeccably attired, he hails from an industrialist family dealing in textiles for almost a century. He seems to have inherited not only his father’s (and forefathers’) business genes, but also his educationist mother’s love for knowledge and learning.

A respected figure in business and social circles, Gautam Goradia is a Rotarian. He is held in high esteem for his extremely high ethical standards and scrupulously honest business dealings. He extends the same sense of honesty and fair play to his staff, who know that good work, dedication, and team-spirit is all that is required from them.

He is the perfect family man, the doting father of two extremely bright girls, and despite a fourteen hour working day always has the time and inclination to take an active interest in their growth, studies, and social activities.
