Mr. Kammerer co-founded VI Agents in Boston in March 2003 with his business partner Tim Shideler. VI Agents provides software for adaptive processes in logistics, supply and distribution and manufacturing networks.
VI Agents leverages software agent and RFID technologies in innovative and strictly value-oriented ways (VI).
In 1996, Mr. Kammerer co-founded living systems, a provider of agent technology, and served as its CEO and President until January 2003. Since 1996, Mr. Kammerer has developed the emerging market for adaptive IT in business networks. His work in the optimization of complex and dynamic networks has made him a recognized contributor to logistics and supply chain industries with their time-sensitive and adaptive processes.
In 2001 and 2002, Mr. Kammerer was honored as a "Technology Pioneer" by the World Economic Forum. In 2002, he received the AEYEF award in Singapore. The Asia-Europe Young Entrepreneurs Forum (AEYEF) was established to foster business co-operation between Asia and Europe. He was a finalist as Technology Change Leader 2002 in the Wharton Infosys Business transformation award.
In 2000, Mr. Kammerer co-founded European Telco Exchange, a transaction facilitator for Telco carriers, and European Media Exchange, a services provider for the media industry. He served on both boards as a non-executive board member until 2002. Mr. Kammerer’s earlier career spanned 10 years of project management in international IT, including several years as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Kammerer holds a Business and IT degree from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. He is a member of the International Committee of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.
