"I Need a Hero…"

"…. I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light."   When the new Kodak Hero line of all-in-one printers came out this past Fall, Bonnie Tyler's song, "I Need a Hero" pops into my head.  These latest printers are worth "holding out" for if you're looking for a new AiO. The flagship Kodak Hero 9.1 , can satisfy the ENTIRE family.  Don't believe me?  Take a look at the very thorough review from Printer Comparison.  It received their Editor's Choice award because it "combined so many useful features in one package for a decent price….and an excellent option as a household printer, especially for multi-person households where everyone seems to have different needs". My trusty Kodak Hero 9.1 at my desk For my family, we have a lot of activities going on at any given moment.  My kids are making copies for their homework projects, my husband is printing off his business proposals, I'm faxing off registration forms for extracurricular activities and camps for the kids or printing photos to send to grandparents (yes, they are on email, but they always ask me for "real photos").  So I chose the Hero 9.1 because the automatic document feeder, fax, two-sided printing capability and separate tray for photo paper increases my family's productivity. Separate photo paper tray sits above the main paper tray  My favorite and very useful feature of the printer is the Kodak Email Print Service (KEPS).  Since I check my email primarily from my phone these days. I often need the convenience to print emails and attachments from my Android smartphone.  With KEPS, I no longer have to turn on my laptop and log into my email account to print any pertinent emails or attachments.  After registering the Hero 9.1 with KEPS, a unique email address is assigned to the printer.  Then all I have to do is forward my emails to the printer's email address to be printed!1   I can even have my family and friends e-mail photos directly to my printer where they will be automatically printed out as a 4x6" borderless photo in stunning picture quality on the photo paper that is loaded in the separate photo paper tray. Any e-mail and standard document attachments will be printed out on plain paper by default.  Pretty smart  printer don't you think? I'll follow up with a post in a few weeks and share some of the items you have sent me.  So that everyone can have the opportunity to test this feature on my printer, let's be courteous and not send inappropriate content (or else I will need to change the email address, obtain a new one, and our fun will have to end). The Hero 9.1 is also very easy to use, especially with the 4.3" touch screen display.  It has very intuitive icons that even my kids can understand.  They are already familiar with touching icons on an iPod touch/iPad, so it was easy for them to find the copy icon and start making their copies.  And I'm no longer worried about them making TOO MANY copies because the premium inks are affordably priced.  All Kodak printer models feature the Lowest Total Ink Replacement Cost compared to any other inkjet printer model available on the market today.2 Now, if you don't have a need for an automatic document feeder and fax, consider the Kodak Hero 7.1 .  It offers the same great ink value and print quality as the Kodak Hero 9.1.
