Trivadis has been working for several years on Oracle database Infrastructures. Now more than ever, customers are showing a keen interest in system availability. It becomes more and more critical to keep the system up and running and the consequences of service unavailability in terms of business and image can be dramatic for a company. This paper proposes a road map for high availability: what should the project manager focus on and how should they move forward? In the same way this paper could be used to provide a better understanding of some key definitions and concepts like Service Level Agreement, Clusters variants, etc.
