Jason Busch of Spend Matters has recently completed a four-part series looking at Basware’s Connectivity Services offering, how it stacks up against the rest of the market, and especially as an alternative to the Ariba supplier network. The results were highly positive – we’re evangelical about our products, and it’s great to see positive feedback from an unbiased commentator. Click here to download the full article series.
Each part looked at a different area of Basware’s Connectivity Services business. The first and second parts covered Basware’s background, and the double-digit growth that our Connectivity Services have experienced. Jason also commented that Basware differentiates itself from Ariba “by prioritizing the importance of interoperability between providers rather than delivering a proprietary cloud solution. They currently have over 100 contractual inter-operator agreements”. In fact, some 20% of operators globally are now connected to the Basware Open Network that supports multiple data formats and ensures that any supplier, buyer or third-party vendor can join, irrespective of whether proprietary technologies are in place or not.
The third entry focused on Basware’s other offerings, with Jason commenting that “the combination of Basware’s e-invoicing capabilities and their scan and capture services provide as broad a range of overall invoice management capability for different tiers of supply sophistication in the market today”. This is positive analysis from one of the leading industry figures – we aim to ensure our offerings are as wide-reaching and usable by as broad a range of users as possible.
In fact, Jason heaped further praise on Basware, commenting “Spend Matters believes Basware’s configurable matching capability is in a league by itself”.
The fourth and final installment summarized Basware’s offerings and our approach to connecting with suppliers. We believe our Open Network model which does not force suppliers to change solutions, has inherent advantages over closed models. The piece recommended Basware as a good alternative to the Ariba supplier network, where customers are looking to avoid high supplier-paid fees, and for companies looking for the next level of invoice management capability.
We love to get positive feedback from customers and independent commentators, but don’t take that as an opportunity to sit on our laurels. We continue to strive to make our products and services more innovative and intelligent than the ones before.
